Porcelain is fired from natural clay at very high temperatures, making it heat-, UV-, and scratch-resistant and suitable indoors and out. Engineered stone blends natural stone with resin — highly durable and non-porous, and generally recommended for indoor use.
Yes. Porcelain slabs are extremely heat resistant. Engineered stone is durable too, but we recommend trivets or hot pads to protect the resin from thermal shock.
Porcelain pavers and select stone slabs are UV resistant and withstand freeze-thaw cycles, so they’re well suited to patios, pool decks, and outdoor kitchens.
Yes. Natural stone is porous, so we seal it on installation and recommend periodic resealing to protect against staining and moisture.
Often, yes. Its slim profile and light weight mean large-format porcelain can frequently be installed over existing surfaces, reducing demolition time and cost.
Absolutely — we encourage you to see and feel the texture of each material. Request a consultation and we’ll bring samples that suit your project.
